With each member of the group hand picked for talent, intelligence and ability to entertain - the 12 members are a true super-group. Like signing all of the best players for a sports team - Funkiphino is comprised of only A-list talent. Each Funkiphino performance requires all players to be performing at the best of their abilities.  Therefore, the stage is not populated from a "pool" of musicians. The group is a legitimate band of actual members, all priding themselves on each fabulous performance.

Funkiphino is a hugely popular and in-demand horn band. The 12 members of the high-energy funk band infuse explosive horn lines, old-school Hammond organ sounds, and pumpin' bass with their intoxicating vocals and slammin' harmonies.

In 2005, Funkiphino was the band of choice for the 55th Presidential Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC. The band's excellence has earned them nominations and has been named Best Funk Band from Westword Magazine and Marquee Magazine as well as being the "go-to" band for the Denver Bronco Association and for numerous government officials.

Elite party planners choose Funkiphino time and time again to create the high energy atmosphere that will wow their demanding, high-profile clients. Funkiphino consistently performs for private events at prestigious venues including the Ritz Carlton, The Hyatt, and The Lodge at Cordillera. The band is on the preferred vendor list for virtually every premier regional venue.  Corporate even planners for the Polo Classic, Vail Valley Medical Center, Cochlear, and the Cancer Society repeatedly hire Funkiphino for their fundraisers and galas.

Funkiphino can be seen in Frontier's Wild Blue Yonder Magazine – Destination Weddings issue, Rocky Mountain Bride and on the Altitude Sports and Entertainment network, Fox Channel 31 and News 4.

Funkiphino also produces and performs their own original music. Choice musicianship as well as artful songwriting are prevalent on their two original CDs and Live Coverage CD. The all-star members of Funkiphino have created a unique, intelligent, funk-injected musical niche. Lovin' Life, produced by Funkiphino and club music veteran Richard Dekkard (Paula Cole, Dido, Warner Brothers), and Rise Above, produced by Funkiphino and Grammy Award winner Matt Sondowski are both powerhouse compliations worthy of acclaim. The band has recorded at numerous venues including the legendary Skywalker Ranch (George Lucas' studio), in Marin, CA. The band collaborated with horn arranging great, Dave Eskridge on their last original CD, Rise Above. Rounding out the CD were Rocco Prestia and Doc Kupka of Tower of Power, Jennifer Batten - formerly Michael Jackson's lead guitar player as well as members of the San Fransisco Symphony and Opera featured as guest artists.
